The main campus of Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia is located in a suburban area with plenty of choices for lodging. However, many of our patients qualify to stay for free at the American Cancer Society’s Winn Dixie Hope Lodge. (For more about that, see below.) To help you, we’ve provided the following list of places to stay. This list is based upon recommendations by former patients. Please note: we do have discounts available with certain nearby hotels, so please call us before you make a reservation.
Stay at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge - No Charge
If the cost of housing during your cancer treatment in Atlanta will be a financial hardship, you may be qualify to stay free-of-charge at the American Cancer Society’s Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge. Patients who are in active cancer treatment may qualify to stay at Hope Lodge. The Atlanta Lodge has 52 suites for cancer patients and their caregivers, with 17 area hospitals and clinics referring patients. Based on demand, lodging is provided on a first-come, first-serve. Patients can stay at the lodge during treatment only (ex. radiation, etc.).
Let the Implant Scheduler know you are interested in staying here when you set the date of your surgery. Do not wait until you arrive in Atlanta for your implant surgery to request the Hope Lodge. It takes approximately six to seven weeks to get into the lodge once your name has been placed on the waiting list. We’ll need your cell phone number and a local hotel/apartment number where you will be staying until an opening at the lodge occurs.
